It doesn't take long to plateau, however, with droves and droves of monsters, even a hundred or more on the screen at once to grind through before moving on to the next area. The game does start with a bang visually, offering an impressive array of special effects such as lasers, explosions and electromagnetic pulses, along with the ominous green glow of trippy imagery.
